I have worked with Edinburgh International Science Festival as a science engagement officer and I also work for Dynamic Earth delivering science engagement activities to families.
Panto Presents is an annual project ran by the learning and participation department for Capital Theatres. I’ve been involved for the past three years and it involves going into the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh and putting up a mini Panto.
Another project from Capital Theatres, Play Days is about helping keep young people engaged throughout their holidays and working with them all day to create anything from stop motion to a dance routine to a play in a day.
Wee creatives is a wonderfully fun project created by Capital Theatres which takes place Friday mornings. I have designed and delivered these sessions on several occasions doing things like puppets, crafts and drama games.
LGBT Youth Scotland Parliamentary Reception
Alongside LGBTYS I worked with Capital Theatres to create a short piece of visual theatre to deliver at the February LGBT Scottish Parliamentary reception. We made it over three days and I’m extremely happy with the work we did!
International Women’s Day Takeover
I often help plan and deliver Takeover Days for Capital Theatres. This involves planning and delivering projects and helping with facilitation as we ‘takeover’ the Festival Theatre for various groups or with various themes. The most recent was International Women’s Day 2020.
Another wonderful project alongside LGBT Youth Scotland.
