Past Projects
I have worked in the arts and community for over a decade and I love the process of working together with people to create something that feels honest and important to them and their lived experiences. I have highlighted some of my more recent projects below but I have also included a small gallery of projects that I worked on in the earlier days. Below are snaps from a International Women’s Day Event at Capital Theatres, Panto Presents, Wee Creatives and some Science Communication pieces as well.
Corra Foundation/Village Storytelling Centre: Birth Parents’ Stories (2025)
In 2025 I worked with the Corra Foundation and the Village Storytelling Centre in Glasgow to co-facilitate a space for Birth Parents who had lost their children to adoption, fostering or kinship care to tell their stories. Alongside my co-facilitator we worked with the parents to create three short films that were a fictionalized creation of their experiences. Read more about the project and watch the three short films here.
We were also lucky enough to work with many parent groups across Scotland making a companion piece to the films which took the form of a book of poems, statements, questions and collages which can be found online here.
Eden Court/Unlimited: Lie Back and Think of the Highlands (2024)
LGBT Youth Scotland/Capital Theatres: Parliamentary Reception Performance (2020)
In late 2019/early 2020 Capital Theatres (CT) in collaboration with LGBT Youth Scotland presented a devised performance created by six young people and facilitated by me and CT engagement.
We worked with the stimulus of the abolition of section 28 and the young people created an incredible piece that was performed in the Scottish Parliament in February 2020. A short video piece was also created during lockdown to showcase the poetry written by the young people for the project.
Previous to this project I was fortunate enough to also work with LGBT Youth Scotland to create a film on their response to the Gender Recognition Act.
